homemade Apple pie recipe

This is the time when fresh apple are available and are juicy and the red and oh so yummy. Yes it's time for apple pie!!!!! I love the smell of bake apple pie, it just makes you feel warm inside

Feeling like baking one here is one of my favorite recipe

* basic pastry dough for 9 inch 2 crust pie
* 3/4 - 1 cup of sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
* 1 1/2 tablespoon flour
* 6 large firm tart apple
* 2 tablespoon of butter

Preheat the oven to 425 F. Line the 9-inch pie pan with half of the pastry dough. Mix the sugar, salt Cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour in a large bowl. Peel,core and slice the apple and toss them in the sugar mixture, coating them well. Pile them into the lined pan and dot with butter. Roll out the crust and drape over the pie. Crimp the edges cut several vent in on top. Bake 10 minutes, them lower the heat to 350 F and bake for 30-40 minutes more until the apple are tender when pierced with a skewer and the crust is browned.

Enjoy!!!!!
